The Founders
Lee & Connie Bridgman are longtime residents of Alaska & have spent years hunting and fishing in Alaska. It was through their hunting and fishing trips that the Alaskan Gun Guard & Alaskan Coupler Guard was developed.
The Alaskan Gun Guard was designed after years of cleaning mud & debris from rifle scopes & actions. When trying to protect their firearms around the scope and action with a garbage bag or raincoat - these items would often slip on the firearm when carrying by hand. After searching for a solution, they decided to create their own product that would help fellow outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen on their adventures too.
The Alaskan Gun Guard had to be ambidextrous for right or left-handed shooters, which is why we use Rare Earth Magnets. These magnets allow for quick and quiet removal. To alleviate the slipping, the Alaskan Gun Guard has “No-Slip Grips” on the inside of the Gun Guard. The drawcord at both ends of the Gun Guard, with cord locks at the top, in order to not hamper the removal. A Range Card Holder was added lastly just to give the shooter a place to hold their ballistics instead of using duct tape & marker on their stock.
The Black Rifle Model is designed for the AR frame as well as Shotguns, Lever Action and Semi-Auto Rifles. The BRM uses 3 magnets spaced accordingly and in what we call “Praying Hands” position.
